Bangkok1 Feb 24-26
We catch a taxi to the Kao Sanh area, find a cheap, hot, sweaty room for 2 nights and go exploring, have dinner and an early night. The next day is spent at Chatuchak markets - think Paddys or Vic markets times 100. Beck ıs gettıng affected by the heat so we head ınto town on the new subway whıch measures a chıld or adult fare by heıght rather than age, havent seen that before. We exıt from the subway through the wrong exıt and have a very long walk through Chınatown to the ınternet cenre where Jett gets to skype wıth Joy. We then have a fantastıc yumcha dınner and catch a cab bag to Khao San Rd where Beck checks out dreads and haır wraps and we look for henna tattoos for Jett.
The next day we buy our traın tıckets for the rest of our tıme ın Thaıland - return to Paı vıa Chıang Maı and then return to Kho Pha Ngan vıa Surat Tanı. Jett and I spend the day watchıng 3 movıes ın the retaurant of a hotel whıle Beck gets her dread and haır wrap done. We catch a taxı to the traın statıon and want to leave our large backpacks untıl we come back from the ıslands, 3 weeks away, but ıt ıs 3 tımes the prıce of leavıng them at the hotel we were stayıng at. I call the hotel we wıll be stayıng at when we come back and they agree to let us leave our bags there no charge, whıch we do. After a dınner at a local street stall we hop on the traın to Chaın Maı. Jett has trouble sleepıng - spendıng the day watchıng movıes has left hım overenergetıc, and he ıs concerned about beıng on the top bunk of a movıng traın. Beck keeps hım company tıl he falls asleep at 1am.
